A viral video spreaded throughout the internet and printed front cover of leading newspaper that a weeping aged tribal who was carrying aadhar card and other documents along with him, depicting his starving in front of live camera and came to meet both chief minister and education minister. But he was failed to meet. It is noted that chief minister and education minister both had visited kalyanpur last wednesday.
Senior congress leader and spokesperson Mr. Tapas De demanded immediate interference of the governor to take the issue of scarcity of food, health, drinking water seriously along with other basic livelihood needs on humaniterian ground at ADC areas throughout the state. A letter has been communicated to the governor R. Vaish regarding the current scenario of remote tribal areas of the state by Mr. De.
Mr. De also added that the ADC election in due course of time is also important. But the election commission is not taking necessary initiatives in this regard. Thus governor must take his interest to make the ADC election possible latest by May 17. “Any kind of intentional delay in election will not be healthier for the state. Except the BJP-IPFT, other political parties based on tribal support will not take this in a very positive way” said Mr. De.
He also added that a delegation team of congress will soon meet in deputation with governor and submit memorandum regarding the factual shortage of food, job, source of income in tribal areas and ADC election in due course of time. Source -Tripurainfo
