Coronavirus: Prince Charles Tests Positive For COVID-19, Goes In Self-Quarantine

Prince Charles – the future king of UK – has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) on Wednesday. It is to be noted that Prince Charles has become the first British royal to reveal that he has tested positive for Coronavirus.

In a statement, Clarence House said, “The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual.”

The statement further stated that Camilla, wife of Prince Charles, has tested negative for the coronavirus. “The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus. In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland,” Clarence House added.

“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” Clarence House said.

Earlier this month, Prince Charles had only met Prince Albert of Monaco. Prince Albert has recently tested positive for coronavirus.
